16Mapping the Course of Genger Charles
FANNIE MAE’S DAY ONE
Just imagine being able to shave DAYS off
your turn time! Imagine being able to tell
your borrowers that with the few clicks of a
button, they do not have to send in pages
and pages of personal information in order
to get their loan approved! Lender executives
would not have to worry about the dreaded
“repurchase demand” two to three years
down the road, and could focus on new
opportunities. On the surface, this program
seems like a no-brainer, but it is most
definitely not without some glaring flaws and
potential for massive human error.
8 WHEN BAD HACKS HAPPEN TO
GOOD MORTGAGE LENDERS
I often wondered how a doctor feels when delivering a bad
diagnosis to a friend or family member. This, of course, is not
a life-and-death case, nor am I a doctor; however, when your
professional life depends on information technology, getting a
bad diagnosis can be injurious to your financial well-being. My
friend is a successful mortgage broker, whose business depends
on email and information technology.

IT’S A NEW YEAR, OR IS IT?
We have all been reading about what to expect in the mortgage
industry for 2017 or what challenges our industry faces in 2017.
But have any of the mortgage “seers” actually done a prediction
that doesn’t somehow look like an ‘every other year’ challenge?
